1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

• Booking and contact information. When you make a reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and physical address through our booking form (powered by Booqable). We use this to create and manage your reservation, send confirmation and pickup/return reminders, and coordinate delivery if you select that option.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number and billing details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout and are not stored on our servers. We use this information to charge rental fees and deposits, and to process refunds or damage charges in accordance with our rental agreement.
• Identity verification and security deposits. Because we rent valuable equipment, we may ask to see a driver's license or government-issued ID, and may place a hold on a card as a security deposit, at the time of booking or pickup. This lets us verify who is renting our gear and recover costs if equipment is not returned or is returned damaged, consistent with the deposit and damage terms in our rental agreement.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies used by Booqable and Stripe. Stripe also uses this type of information as part of its fraud detection tools (Stripe Radar) to help prevent fraudulent transactions. We use this information to keep checkout functioning properly, detect and prevent fraud, and understand which equipment listings generate the most interest.

Marketing communications

If you opt in to receive updates (for example, about new equipment or availability), we will use the email address you provide for that purpose. We do not add you to marketing emails automatically just because you made a booking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Create, manage, and fulfill equipment rental reservations;
• Process payments, deposits, refunds, and damage charges;
• Verify renter identity and enforce our rental agreement;
• Communicate with you about bookings, pickup/return logistics, and customer support;
• Detect and prevent fraud and misuse of the Site;
• Send marketing communications, only if you have opted in; and
• Improve and maintain the Site.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the Site and fulfill your booking, including:

• Booqable — our booking and rental management platform;
• Stripe — our payment processor, which also provides fraud detection; and
• Other service providers as needed to run the business (for example, insurance or legal service providers, if a claim or dispute arises).

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Chromaera Visuals, our customers, or others.

4. Cookies and Do Not Track Signals

The Site uses cookies placed by our booking and payment providers (Booqable and Stripe) to support checkout, prevent fraud, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect your ability to complete a booking.

The Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

5. Data Security

We rely on Booqable and Stripe's security safeguards to protect the information you provide, including encryption of payment data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain booking, payment, and identity verification records for as long as needed to fulfill reservations, resolve disputes, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

7. Your Choices

• You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
• You may contact us at any time to ask what personal information we have about you or to request that we correct or delete it, subject to our recordkeeping obligations described above.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
